The optimism of a Silicon Valley morning

There really are some magical things in Silicon Valley. For about six month of the year on my short walk from whatever mode of transit I took to work to the building with my office the air is clean, crisp, and cool. Its never really cold in Silicon Valley. It often does achieve the perfect variety of chill though to make me happy that I are a human living in an advanced civilization where I don't have to be chilly. At the same time it reminds me that I'm durable enough to handle the conditions. Mostly I think it feels refreshing before I sit down at my desk and start triaging the 50-100 emails that have accumulated since I left. Which is what I am off to now....

Let the randomness begin

For the past several months I've been thinking I should join in this whole "Web 2.0" thing where normal people generate on-line content and form a "social overlay" on top of the web. So, here we go, if I stick with this for six months, I'll be impressed.

The real push for this is that a great friend of mine has started her own business in event planning and has just put up a website for her event planning company in Philadelphia. She's one of the most capable people I know, and if you plan an event with her, everything will get done, no matter how many florists have to lose their lives.

I hope this is the first of many random word ejections from my brain.
